Drdhahanu Vishveshwara showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amanda Banerjee in the 5th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Docklands City's zone, Amanda Banerjee stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Drdhahanu Vishveshwara came out of the goal and Amanda Banerjee tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Dahana Iyer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Mani Sawhney sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Baladhara Khatri showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dahana Iyer, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Dahana Iyer kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. 24 minutes into the game, Bharosa Arakoni was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Docklands City's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Avebury the free kick. Baladhara Khatri was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Mani Sawhney charged in rather forcefully in the 37th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mani Sawhney the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After some careless play in the Avebury defense, Dahana Iyer kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Baladhara Khatri. The Avebury fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Baladhara Khatri should have stopped the shot. Bharosa Arakoni got his second yellow card in the match during the 45th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 47th minute Amanda Banerjee shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Drdhahanu Vishveshwara saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.
