Aksina Agroia hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. Katti Bhattacharya sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cunanda Badyal had great luck who in the 13thth minute grab hold of the ball when Adelika Patel from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. Katti Bhattacharya sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Bhushan Kaila received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Bahuvida Aulakh tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cunanda Badyal stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Adelika Patel's shot from short distance in the 21st minute. Anoop Sahni fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bahuvida Aulakh having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Anoop Sahni's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bahuvida Aulakh was relentless in the 25th minute of the game. 26 minutes into the game, Adelika Patel was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. North Petherton's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Skelmersdale the free kick. Adelika Patel hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. Bahuvida Aulakh showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anoop Sahni, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Katti Bhattacharya kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 32ndth minute. Though ot was a great shot Skelmersdale's keeper Cunanda Badyal was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. Karmacandra Mahmi hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. Katti Bhattacharya who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 34thth minute tested the skills of Cunanda Badyal when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Katti Bhattacharya sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Adelika Patel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jatinder Warwaha kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Anoop Sahni to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute Anoop Sahni shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bahuvida Aulakh saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 56th minute, Bhushan Kaila reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Bahuvida Aulakh. The goal made the score 0-1. 65 minutes into the game, Bhushan Kaila cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Bahuvida Aulakh was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Cunanda Badyal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Katti Bhattacharya, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bhushan Kaila received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Bahuvida Aulakh tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in North Petherton's zone, Anoop Sahni stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bahuvida Aulakh came out of the goal and Anoop Sahni tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. North Petherton's Bahuvida Aulakh proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 89th minute of the match, managed to save North Petherton from getting a goal against them. Bahuvida Aulakh made a fantastic save in the 91st minute, when Bhushan Kaila sent off a good shot on target. Jagrup Mukherjee's late challenge caught a Skelmersdale's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jagrup Mukherjee helped the player get up and apologised. After 92 played minutes North Petherton got a freekick which was hit by Jagrup Mukherjee. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Skelmersdale eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
