In the 13thth minute of the game Ambava Kelkar who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Buckingham City's Asvini Sandhu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Sandbach City's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Amarasinha Kamle in the 15th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Buddhiraja Kapur in the 16th minute of play forced Buckingham City's goalkeeper Asvini Sandhu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Buddhiraja Kapur struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Asvini Sandhu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sandbach City. If Ambava Kelkar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 21 minutes into the match, Sandbach City's Buddhiraja Kapur sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Asvini Sandhu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Buddhiraja Kapur fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Asvini Sandhu having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 26 minutes, Angavaha Das took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Adarsh Kaila to make any attempt to save it. Asvini Sandhu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Buddhiraja Kapur in the 30th minute of play. Asvini Sandhu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Susheel Randhawa in the 33rd minute of the match. After 38 minutes Sandbach City's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ramnath Dev who took care of the corner kick. In the 40th minute Ambava Kelkar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Asvini Sandhu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 44th minute, Sandbach City's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Inan Kang fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Adarsh Kaila took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Asitadhvaja Manjrekar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ambava Kelkar to strike the kick off in the second half. Buddhiraja Kapur could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Asvini Sandhu made a huge save. Asitadhvaja Manjrekar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Adarsh Kaila tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 68th minute, Ambava Kelkar got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Buddhiraja Kapur fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Asvini Sandhu having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Buckingham City's Amarasinha Khaira got a free kick in the 71st minute. After a defensive mix-up in Sandbach City's zone, Inan Kang stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Adarsh Kaila came out of the goal and Inan Kang tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 77th match minute, Sandbach City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Manpreet Chakma to maneuver through the defense. Asvini Sandhu made a fantastic save in the 81st minute, when Buddhiraja Kapur sent off a good shot on target. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Angavaha Das during the 81st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Asitadhvaja Manjrekar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Asitadhvaja Manjrekar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adarsh Kaila having to interfere. Manpreet Chakma hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. For all the effort they put into the match, the Sandbach City players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Buckingham City.
