Ilkley City's Ramnath Mukherjee played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ekatala Verma in the 9th minute of play. 10 minutes into the match, Ilkley City's goal looked a bit too open when Ekatala Verma came free, but Ramnath Mukherjee reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Apacita Rahul in the 16th minute of play forced Glossop United's goalkeeper Arapacana Virdee to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Laxman Sohota received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Arapacana Virdee tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Ilkley City booed when Glossop United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cidvilasini Shindi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Laxman Sohota took the ball and in the 21 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Arapacana Virdee. Arapacana Virdee dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Cidvilasini Shindi blasted a shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ramnath Mukherjee having to make a save. Ramnath Mukherjee didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 26th minute, which inside left pole to 1-1. In the 34th minute Laxman Sohota shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arapacana Virdee saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Campu Parekh in the 36thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Ramnath Mukherjee, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 42nd minute Laxman Sohota shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arapacana Virdee saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Glossop United's Tatleen Chaddha got a free kick in the 43rd minute. Arapacana Virdee took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Apacita Rahul, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Apacita Rahul to make the kick off. Ekatala Verma sent away a hard shot on goal in the 50th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ayodhya Basrai charged in rather forcefully in the 51st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ayodhya Basrai the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Glossop United getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Ayodhya Basrai hit a great ball. When Apacita Rahul came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Ilkley City fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Apacita Rahul couldn't finish the play. 69 minutes into the match, Ilkley City's goal looked a bit too open when Campu Parekh came free, but Ramnath Mukherjee reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ekatala Verma fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ramnath Mukherjee having to interfere. Ramnath Mukherjee took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Campu Parekh, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Akara Pant hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. Ramnath Mukherjee showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ekatala Verma, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. 86 minutes into the match, Gramapala Chawla had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Arapacana Virdee. Glossop United's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gramapala Chawla was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Ramnath Mukherjee made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ekatala Verma in the 89th minute of play. After 89 minutes of play, Glossop United's Ekatala Verma made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ramnath Mukherjee was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ramnath Mukherjee showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Campu Parekh in the 96th minute of the match. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
