After having played for 40 minutes, Campeya Reel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Polaris's supporters crossed their fingers, but Campeya Reel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Massem Gala made a fantastic save in the 42nd minute, when Bishwamba Chaudhari sent off a good shot on target. Dhanavanta Walia took the ball and in the 44 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Kukila Ghai. Kukila Ghai dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Anuyayin Jammu to make the kick off.
