A wasted opportunity for Tavistock. An unexpected shot in the 5th minute by Aparthiva Ahuja got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Abhyagni Siddhu scored 0-1 in the 15th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Anukula Sran, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Anukula Sran took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adhiksita Biswas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 28 played minutes Retford City got a freekick which was hit by Aticanda Madhusudan. Karunakara Bhattacharya kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. Aparthiva Ahuja fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jata Gandhi having to interfere. Anukula Sran showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abhyagni Siddhu in the 45th minute of the match. In the 46th minute, Adhiksita Biswas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Abhyagni Siddhu made a kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Abhyagni Siddhu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Anukula Sran. Tavistock's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Abhyagni Siddhu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Aparthiva Ahuja fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jata Gandhi having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Adhiksita Biswas got free with Anukula Sran in the 61st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, Tavistock's Anukula Sran got control of the ball when Adhiksita Biswas tried to sneak it across the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Vasantha Thapa during the 69th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Vasantha Thapa hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. Tavistock's Aparthiva Ahuja got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Anasin Shetty had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 1-3 became the score in the 76th minute when Adhiksita Biswas elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Anukula Sran was out of position in the 80 minute of play, and Abhyagni Siddhu capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Abhyagni Siddhu really showed his touch with that goal: 1-4. Jata Gandhi came out of the goal and Aparthiva Ahuja tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Anasin Shetty fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jata Gandhi having to interfere. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Retford City walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
