If Abhranta Chahil had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abhyagni Siddhu in the 13th minute of play forced SKY HIGH's goalkeeper Ramani Atwal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Abhranta Chahil received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Jata Gandhi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Cudaratna Ojha managed to get in a good position for a shot. SKY HIGH's supporters rose to their feet, but Cudaratna Ojha was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jata Gandhi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cudaratna Ojha in the 27th minute of play forced Retford City's goalkeeper Jata Gandhi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 33 played minutes, Retford City's Shashi Kaal shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ramani Atwal came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Retford City reached it. After a rather tough play, SKY HIGH's Cidvilasa Roy got a free kick in the 38th minute. Abhranta Chahil fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jata Gandhi having to interfere. Cudaratna Ojha struck a weak shot in the 48th minute. Jata Gandhi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SKY HIGH. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cudaratna Ojha made a kick off. Abhyagni Siddhu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ramani Atwal having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adhiksita Biswas in the 60th minute of play forced SKY HIGH's goalkeeper Ramani Atwal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Abhyagni Siddhu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 65th match minute, Retford City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aticanda Madhusudan to maneuver through the defense. Jata Gandhi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cudaratna Ojha's shot from short distance in the 67th minute. The Retford City fans' excitement grew in the 72nd match minute when Retford City's Adhiksita Biswas looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Adhiksita Biswas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ramani Atwal read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 77th minute of play. Cudaratna Ojha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Jata Gandhi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Abhranta Chahil fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jata Gandhi having to interfere. When Abhyagni Siddhu came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Retford City fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Abhyagni Siddhu couldn't finish the play. Ramani Atwal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abhyagni Siddhu, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute.
