Spectators: 37 (Terracing: 29, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Yash Bhambra took the kick off in the first half of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jyotiprakasa Rao during the 3rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Prabhukumar Jhuti made a fantastic save in the 8th minute, when Jaimalla Gurung sent off a good shot on target. Poynton AFC's Prabhukumar Jhuti played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gurbachan Holkar in the 9th minute of play. Prabhukumar Jhuti made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jaimalla Gurung in the 11th minute. Kacapa Kulkarni took the ball and in the 17 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Admani Sukhija. Admani Sukhija dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Yash Bhambra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Admani Sukhija tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Putney AFC's Surat Arneja got a free kick in the 28th minute. In the 29th minute, Kacapa Kulkarni got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Putney AFC's Admani Sukhija played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yash Bhambra in the 31st minute of play. After 33 played minutes Putney AFC got a freekick which was hit by Surat Arneja. In the 34th minute, Surat Arneja hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kacapa Kulkarni recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Through an outstanding action, after 44 minutes, Prabhukumar Jhuti successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 48 minutes into the match, Poynton AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Pramod Tamang came free, but Prabhukumar Jhuti reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gurbachan Holkar made a kick off. Lalrinriana Chamling hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. After 60 played minutes Putney AFC got a freekick which was hit by Surat Arneja. Prabhukumar Jhuti showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gurbachan Holkar, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. Harjas Bhaura charged in rather forcefully in the 68th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Harjas Bhaura the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Poynton AFC booed when Putney AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Harjas Bhaura didn't get a good kick on the ball. 71 minutes into the game, Javeed Paul was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Poynton AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Putney AFC the free kick. The referee gave Putney AFC a penalty, 73 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Asuman Nayak, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Poynton AFC's Prabhukumar Jhuti. 1-1. After some careless play in the Poynton AFC defense, Gurbachan Holkar kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Prabhukumar Jhuti. The Poynton AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Prabhukumar Jhuti should have stopped the shot. Poynton AFC's Jyotiprakasa Rao got his second yellow card of the match in the 88th minute. The referee ordered Jyotiprakasa Rao off the ground. When Putney AFC's Gurbachan Holkar in the 92nd minute got a chance for a shot 92nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Poynton AFC's goalie prevented a goal. Jaimalla Gurung received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Prabhukumar Jhuti tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Poynton AFC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
