Avikala Lyngdoh helped the player get up and apologised. In the 6th minute, Avikala Lyngdoh hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 13th minute, Ambu Khongstid left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Whickham fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Cittaranjana Gain sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Arkakara Kooner had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Arkakara Kooner could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 27th minute of the match, but Cidvilasini Rama made a huge save. Cidvilasini Rama made an important save on a dangerous shot by Arkakara Kooner in the 29th minute. Susheela Girgla showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ambu Khongstid, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Whickham's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Ravinderpal Jhuti hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. In the 55th minute, Rangjot Virk sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Streatham's Susheela Girgla didn't even have to move. After 61 minutes, Arkakara Kooner made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. Whickham's Cidvilasini Rama tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 69th minute Arkakara Kooner shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cidvilasini Rama saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 74 minutes, Ambu Khongstid managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Whickham's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ambu Khongstid was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 75 minutes into the game, Whickham's Cittaranjana Gain nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Susheela Girgla made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Cittaranjana Gain received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Susheela Girgla tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cittaranjana Gain got free with Susheela Girgla in the 86th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Cidvilasini Rama took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arkakara Kooner, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 92 played minutes Whickham got a freekick which was hit by Jayachandran Sra. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Whickham players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
