Bishop Auckland's Campakaprabhu Ghoshal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rajjun More in the 18th minute of play. Annscroft United's Rajjun More got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Bishop Auckland's Bahadar Attwal got a free kick in the 22nd minute. Campakaprabhu Ghoshal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rajjun More, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Campakaprabhu Ghoshal came out of the goal in the 26th minute to try and stop a shot by Annscroft United's Rajjun More. But to his dismay, Rajjun More quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Ansujala Janda received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Ahilocana Maheshwari tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Janu Bal came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Bishop Auckland fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Janu Bal couldn't finish the play. Adiraja Rai hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. 41 minutes had been played when some careless play by Annscroft United's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Ekabhakta Dhanoa was slow to take the kick. During this time Bishop Auckland's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Ekabhakta Dhanoa almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Annscroft United's Ahilocana Maheshwari did a great save. When Ekabhakta Dhanoa fell near the penalty area in the 46th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bishop Auckland's protests and gave Ekabhakta Dhanoa a yellow card for diving instead. In the 47th match minute, Bishop Auckland was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ekabhakta Dhanoa to maneuver through the defense.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rajjun More stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rajjun More in the 84th minute of play forced Bishop Auckland's goalkeeper Campakaprabhu Ghoshal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A hard shot by Abhirastra Khanna from long distance, 88 minutes into the match, got Campakaprabhu Ghoshal's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Rajjun More fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Campakaprabhu Ghoshal having to interfere. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Annscroft United eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
