Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Ansansa Talib started the match with the kick off. Avik Haito could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 4th minute of the match, but Ahara Gain made a huge save. Ahara Gain was a little too slow when Ansansa Talib got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 11th minute. The score was now 1-0. In the 15th minute, Drsadvata Beasley hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dirghadanstra Gugral took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kajal Basra, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Avik Haito sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 24 minutes into the match, Eye's goal looked a bit too open when Kajal Basra came free, but Dirghadanstra Gugral reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Eye's Jagadananda Gandhi got a free kick in the 27th minute. If Ansansa Talib had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Kajal Basra came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Standish fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kajal Basra couldn't finish the play. Eye's Dirghadanstra Gugral played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Namgeet Deshpande in the 40th minute of play. Dirghadanstra Gugral stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Namgeet Deshpande's shot from short distance in the 42nd minute. 43 minutes into the game, Deodan Bansal was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Eye's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Standish the free kick. After 43 played minutes Eye got a freekick which was hit by Deodan Bansal. After a defensive mix-up in Eye's zone, Kajal Basra stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dirghadanstra Gugral came out of the goal and Kajal Basra tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Avik Haito came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Eye fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Avik Haito couldn't finish the play. Ansansa Talib sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Namgeet Deshpande stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Dirghadanstra Gugral showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Namgeet Deshpande, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. In the 60th minute, Avik Haito left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Eye fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. If Kajal Basra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Namgeet Deshpande came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Standish fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Namgeet Deshpande couldn't finish the play. Dirghadanstra Gugral showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Namgeet Deshpande, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. Kajal Basra's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 78thth minute, Dirghadanstra Gugral skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. If Avik Haito had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Kambadur Dwivedi fell near the penalty area in the 87th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Standish's protests and gave Kambadur Dwivedi a yellow card for diving instead. When Avik Haito came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Eye fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Avik Haito couldn't finish the play. In the 96th minute, Avik Haito ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ahara Gain was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Eye had played much better football throughout.
