Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Aitareya Bhaura got the match started through his kick off. After 4 played minutes, Penistone AFC's Abhyudaya Rattu shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Devavid Denhoy came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Penistone AFC reached it. In the 5th match minute, Elsdon was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Avajita Samran to maneuver through the defense. After 13 minutes, Avajita Samran mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Elsdon and the Penistone AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Amisa Sengupta hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. Asvavan Vurghese sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Cetana Sandhu came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the Elsdon fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cetana Sandhu couldn't finish the play. Asvavan Vurghese took the ball and in the 23 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Parvathi Raj. Parvathi Raj dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. 28 minutes into the match, Asvavan Vurghese notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Penistone AFC's Parvathi Raj. Parvathi Raj was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Asvavan Vurghese could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Parvathi Raj made a huge save. Avajita Samran could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 37th minute of the match, but Parvathi Raj made a huge save. Penistone AFC's Parvathi Raj proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 38th minute of the match, managed to save Penistone AFC from getting a goal against them. In the 48th minute of the match Abhyudaya Rattu shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Devavid Denhoy showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.
The wind increased when Asvavan Vurghese made the kick off in the second half. Asvavan Vurghese received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Parvathi Raj tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Devavid Denhoy was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 59th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Abhyudaya Rattu. The supporters of Penistone AFC booed when Elsdon was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Avajita Samran didn't get a good kick on the ball. Elsdon's Cetana Sandhu got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Nihal Dhanoa fell near the penalty area in the 68th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Penistone AFC's protests and gave Nihal Dhanoa a yellow card for diving instead. After 68 played minutes Penistone AFC got a freekick which was hit by Nihal Dhanoa. Devavid Denhoy took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aitareya Bhaura, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Asvavan Vurghese fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Parvathi Raj having to interfere. Asvavan Vurghese recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Asvavan Vurghese fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Parvathi Raj having to interfere. Asvavan Vurghese recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cetana Sandhu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Parvathi Raj having to make a save. In the 87th minute, Asvavan Vurghese got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Elsdon's Asanga Kadam in the 88th minute got a chance for a shot 88th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Penistone AFC's goalie prevented a goal. Penistone AFC's Parvathi Raj played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cetana Sandhu in the 91st minute of play. 92 minutes into the game, one of Penistone AFC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Elsdon's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
