After having played for 4 minutes, Sampuran Shukla managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Portchester's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sampuran Shukla was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 8th match minute, Portchester was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Runjeet Sinha to maneuver through the defense. Kailash Khandelwal took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 9th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ehsan Ngullie. Portchester's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Norwich's Raghavan Rane played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Iksana Lachenpa in the 14th minute of play. In the 14th match minute, Norwich was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Camaraja Mukhopadhyay to maneuver through the defense. Adityesa Verma sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With an all-out effort, Norwich's Ehsan Ngullie threw himself towards the right post 19 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Rajeswar Solanki, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Barhana Sodhi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 23 minutes of play, Portchester's Iksana Lachenpa made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Raghavan Rane was left in no man's land by his defense there! Adityesa Verma received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Raghavan Rane tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 27th minute, Camaraja Mukhopadhyay hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 28th minute, Sampuran Shukla got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Portchester's Ehsan Ngullie proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save Portchester from getting a goal against them. In the 33rdth minute of the game Adityesa Verma who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Norwich's Raghavan Rane was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the match clock showed 33 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Adityesa Verma sped through Norwich's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Raghavan Rane. Ehsan Ngullie took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Akampita Datta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Norwich booed when Portchester was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Barhana Sodhi didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Sampuran Shukla fell near the penalty area in the 44th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Portchester's protests and gave Sampuran Shukla a yellow card for diving instead. Sampuran Shukla kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Akampita Datta got free with Ehsan Ngullie in the 46th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 46th minute, Kailash Khandelwal ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ehsan Ngullie was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Adityesa Verma to make the kick off. After 55 minutes, Kailash Khandelwal mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Norwich and the Portchester players grew even worse after the yellow card. Kailash Khandelwal hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. 59 minutes had been played when some careless play by Norwich's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Sampuran Shukla was slow to take the kick. During this time Portchester's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Portchester's Sampuran Shukla to fire away a dangerous shot which Raghavan Rane despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Raghavan Rane made a fantastic save in the 62nd minute, when Barhana Sodhi sent off a good shot on target. 63 minutes into the match, Norwich's goal looked a bit too open when Adityesa Verma came free, but Raghavan Rane reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 68th match minute, Portchester was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arumugam Janda to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Portchester's Adimula Chopra got a free kick in the 72nd minute. Kailash Khandelwal was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 72nd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. A collision led to Norwich getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Sarabjit Hegde hit a great ball. Sampuran Shukla could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 76th minute of the match, but Raghavan Rane made a huge save. After 78 minutes of play, Norwich's Kailash Khandelwal made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ehsan Ngullie was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ehsan Ngullie showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rajeswar Solanki, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. Iksana Lachenpa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raghavan Rane having to interfere. If Barhana Sodhi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 87 played minutes Portchester got a freekick which was hit by Barhana Sodhi. In the 88th minute of the match Mohandyal Pant sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ehsan Ngullie skillfully saved the ball. Iksana Lachenpa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Raghavan Rane tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Arumugam Janda received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Raghavan Rane came out and tried to block the shot, but Arumugam Janda slotted it home off the left post making it 2-3 in the 91st minute. In the 95th minute Rajeswar Solanki shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ehsan Ngullie saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rajeswar Solanki sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
