After 40 played minutes Ban Kleng Lany got a freekick which was hit by Polgrid Phenjan. When Thanasak Magsiri fell near the penalty area in the 43rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ban Kleng Lany's protests and gave Thanasak Magsiri a yellow card for diving instead. In the 43rd minute, Thanasak Magsiri hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal.
