Ban Huai Kai's Anurak Jitjai played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Patid Saekao in the 6th minute of play. Patid Pinkaew's late challenge caught a Ban Don Phai's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Patid Pinkaew helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Ban Huai Kai getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Patid Pinkaew hit a great ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Chanont Youyong during the 15th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Ban Don Phai booed when Ban Huai Kai was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Chanont Youyong didn't get a good kick on the ball. 17 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Ban Don Phai's Patid Saekao fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. In the 18th match minute, Ban Huai Kai was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Chanont Youyong to maneuver through the defense. After 21 played minutes Ban Huai Kai got a freekick which was hit by Tanakorn Yindeechan. After a defensive mix-up in Ban Don Phai's zone, Kittipat Nuchpan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Manopakorn Talabngoen came out of the goal and Kittipat Nuchpan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 30th minute Kittipat Nuchpan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manopakorn Talabngoen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aran Makbun could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 39th minute of the match, but Manopakorn Talabngoen made a huge save. When Pairat Boonrat came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Ban Don Phai fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pairat Boonrat couldn't finish the play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Wannachai Thainoi to strike the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Patid Saekao managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ban Don Phai's supporters rose to their feet, but Patid Saekao was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Anurak Jitjai breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 54th match minute, Ban Huai Kai was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Parinya Jorwatanapun to maneuver through the defense. Anurak Jitjai made a fantastic save in the 55th minute, when Patid Saekao sent off a good shot on target. Patid Saekao who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 57thth minute tested the skills of Anurak Jitjai when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Anurak Jitjai didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 58th minute, which inside left pole to 0-1. Patid Pinkaew struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Manopakorn Talabngoen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ban Huai Kai. Manopakorn Talabngoen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aran Makbun, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. In the 77thth minute of the game Aran Makbun who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ban Don Phai's Manopakorn Talabngoen was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Kittipat Nuchpan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Manopakorn Talabngoen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 90 minutes, Kittipat Nuchpan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ban Huai Kai's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kittipat Nuchpan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
