The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a defensive mix-up in Ban Don Sakae's zone, Wuttilert Wongmuang stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nitiwut Klaychim came out of the goal and Wuttilert Wongmuang tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Watkacha Hunvongtham fell near the penalty area in the 10th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ban Don Sakae's protests and gave Watkacha Hunvongtham a yellow card for diving instead. Thanabordee Sinthu shot from long distance in the 10th minute, but Nitiwut Klaychim was prepared and stopped the ball at the left post. In the 11th minute, Chainarong Phontawee hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Chotiwit Lumjung fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Karn Khemchara having to interfere. Chotiwit Lumjung received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Karn Khemchara tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ban Don Sakae's Nitiwut Klaychim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pitinon Khemchara in the 27th minute of play. Wuttilert Wongmuang recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ban Don Sakae's Watkacha Hunvongtham got his second yellow card of the match in the 34th minute. The referee ordered Watkacha Hunvongtham off the ground. In the 34th minute, Watkacha Hunvongtham hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Wuttilert Wongmuang was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 38th minute. Ban Daeng Phlong's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Pitinon Khemchara was the one to do the kick off. Pitinon Khemchara sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 56 minutes into the game, Ban Daeng Phlong's Wuttilert Wongmuang nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Nitiwut Klaychim made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Nitiwut Klaychim stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Wuttilert Wongmuang's shot from short distance in the 61st minute. Ban Daeng Phlong's Karn Khemchara proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 63rd minute of the match, managed to save Ban Daeng Phlong from getting a goal against them. If Pitinon Khemchara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Chotiwit Lumjung came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the Ban Don Sakae fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Chotiwit Lumjung couldn't finish the play. Ban Don Sakae's Nitiwut Klaychim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pitinon Khemchara in the 80th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Chotiwit Lumjung got free with Karn Khemchara in the 82nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Chotiwit Lumjung sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 84 minutes into the game, Wichet Neamlaor was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ban Daeng Phlong's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ban Don Sakae the free kick. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Wuttilert Wongmuang managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ban Daeng Phlong's supporters rose to their feet, but Wuttilert Wongmuang was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nitiwut Klaychim breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Pitinon Khemchara received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Nitiwut Klaychim tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Chotiwit Lumjung had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Ban Daeng Phlong fans cheered their team off the field, for while Ban Don Sakae had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
