In the 36th minute Thomas Renata shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yayat Tingkir saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jakob Sumirat could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 38th minute of the match, but Yayat Tingkir made a huge save. If Jakob Sumirat had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 44th minute, Firman Sahetappy got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Harry Hamzah had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Tinapoeka FC's Ibing Malaiholo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Harry Hamzah in the 53rd minute of play. Yayat Tingkir made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jakob Sumirat in the 61st minute of play. If Harry Hamzah had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 65th match minute, Tinapoeka FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mastur Karamoy to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Tinapoeka FC's zone, Firman Sahetappy stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ibing Malaiholo came out of the goal and Firman Sahetappy tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jakob Sumirat in the 81st minute of play forced Waroeti's goalkeeper Yayat Tingkir to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 81st minute, Cucu Mappanyukki hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Yayat Tingkir took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jakob Sumirat, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 88 minutes in the game, Harry Hamzah fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Ibing Malaiholo having to interfere. After 88 played minutes Tinapoeka FC got a freekick which was hit by Mastur Karamoy. If Firman Sahetappy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Waroeti booed when Tinapoeka FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 98 match minutes in a wonderful position. Thomas Renata didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Waroeti had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
