The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Karim Ballawi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of PSS Pagargunung booed when Goegoek FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Putut Basuki didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bagol Garnita stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Adrianus Rakasiwi's shot from short distance in the 12th minute. 14 minutes into the match, PSS Pagargunung's goalkeeper Anto Mandagi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lukita Batubara. Goegoek FC's Bagol Garnita played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rusli Situmorang in the 16th minute of play. 18 minutes into the match, PSS Pagargunung's Rusli Situmorang sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bagol Garnita narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When PSS Pagargunung's Adrianus Rakasiwi in the 20th minute got a chance for a shot 20th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 44thth minute of the game Adrianus Rakasiwi who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Goegoek FC's Bagol Garnita was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Adrianus Rakasiwi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bagol Garnita having to interfere. With a little luck, Goegoek FC's Bagol Garnita got control of the ball when Rusli Situmorang tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 61st minute, Lukita Batubara got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 64 minutes into the match, Adrianus Rakasiwi dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Bagol Garnita, 0-1. Adrianus Rakasiwi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Bagol Garnita tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 72nd minute of the match Zakaria Kosasih shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Anto Mandagi showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. PSS Pagargunung's Adrianus Rakasiwi got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 80th match minute, PSS Pagargunung was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aam Pitoy to maneuver through the defense. If Lukita Batubara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bagol Garnita made a fantastic save in the 90th minute, when Rusli Situmorang sent off a good shot on target. PSS Pagargunung's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
