When Ijul Himawan came up free with the goalie in the 5th minute, the Melelo FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ijul Himawan couldn't finish the play. Melelo FC's Gandung Alatas proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 9th minute of the match, managed to save Melelo FC from getting a goal against them. Sansan Sutanto struck a weak shot in the 11th minute. Gandung Alatas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for PS Sampoengoe. Ading Sulistianto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adeng Mandaga in the 13th minute of play. 16 minutes into the match, PS Sampoengoe's goal looked a bit too open when Adeng Mandaga came free, but Ading Sulistianto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to PS Sampoengoe getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Didiet Widagdo hit a great ball. Gandung Alatas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anan Laksana in the 20th minute of play. Sansan Sutanto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 29 minutes, Sansan Sutanto made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Melelo FC's Gandung Alatas tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 35th minute, Anan Laksana got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Sansan Sutanto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gandung Alatas having to interfere. Gandung Alatas made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sansan Sutanto in the 39th minute. In the 44th minute the ball was on its way in behind PS Sampoengoe's goalkeeper Ading Sulistianto, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Ading Sulistianto made an important save on a dangerous shot by Adeng Mandaga in the 57th minute. 59 minutes into the match, Apep Sudarman dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Ading Sulistianto, 1-1. In the 68th minute Anan Laksana shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gandung Alatas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. PS Sampoengoe's Anan Laksana got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ading Sulistianto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Apep Sudarman in the 76th minute of play. With a little luck, PS Sampoengoe's Ading Sulistianto got control of the ball when Adeng Mandaga tried to sneak it across the goal line. Sansan Sutanto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a defensive mix-up in Melelo FC's zone, Sansan Sutanto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gandung Alatas came out of the goal and Sansan Sutanto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. PS Sampoengoe's Sansan Sutanto got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Adeng Mandaga came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the Melelo FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Adeng Mandaga couldn't finish the play. The Melelo FC players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented PS Sampoengoe from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
