Sugihwaras's Desta Dharmasakti played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fikri Darmawan in the 27th minute of play. In the 42nd minute, Gingin Sahilatua ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Desta Dharmasakti was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Sakti Mahuse made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sadewa Lelono in the 48th minute of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Usep Mulia made the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the game, Sugihwaras's Sopian Pane nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sakti Mahuse made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Usep Mulia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Gingin Sahilatua struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. Desta Dharmasakti didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for PSS Heminmur. Martinus Anggadiredja fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Desta Dharmasakti having to interfere. Gingin Sahilatua recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sopian Pane's late challenge caught a PSS Heminmur's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sopian Pane helped the player get up and apologised. Gingin Sahilatua fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Desta Dharmasakti having to interfere. If Gingin Sahilatua had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 78th minute, Bernard Feryanto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gingin Sahilatua blasted a shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Desta Dharmasakti having to make a save. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Lamhot Harjo managed to get in a good position for a shot. PSS Heminmur's supporters rose to their feet, but Lamhot Harjo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Desta Dharmasakti breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Martinus Anggadiredja had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Chants of Sugihwaras echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as PSS Heminmur had held the ball for most of the match.
