Ikhsan Hutabarat tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. M. Ikhsan Hutabarat took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Warsidi Subagdja, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. M. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Sungailiat FC were furious when Primus Wiranata was red carded, 59 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 58th minute of the game. One of Sungailiat FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Putra Cihalimun:s goal. M. Ikhsan Hutabarat had in the 61stth minute some difficulties stopping Nono Sungkar's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. In the 61st minute, Nono Sungkar ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. M. Ikhsan Hutabarat was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Timmy Sundoro kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. In the 65th minute, Galih Mandaga left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sungailiat FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. Warsidi Subagdja sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ikhsan Hutabarat made a fantastic save in the 80th minute, when Rusli Pakubuwono sent off a good shot on target. In the 81st match minute, Sungailiat FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by M. Dedy Irsyad to maneuver through the defense. If Rusli Pakubuwono had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Putra Cihalimun booed when Sungailiat FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cornel Sumanto didn't get a good kick on the ball. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
