May Baskara received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Adang Wibisono tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rusli Raweyai might have been able to make a better finish in the 14th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Adang Wibisono. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rusli Raweyai ran back to his position shaking his head. 20 minutes into the match, Gambrengan's goalkeeper Jehad Permana had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Uci Ardiwilaga. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rusli Raweyai in the 24th minute of play forced Kumeto's goalkeeper Adang Wibisono to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Adang Wibisono took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from May Baskara, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 28 minutes, Sirod Maruanaya mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Kumeto and the Gambrengan players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Gambrengan booed when Kumeto was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sirod Maruanaya didn't get a good kick on the ball. Utha Sarumpaet charged in rather forcefully in the 32nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Utha Sarumpaet the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 33 played minutes Gambrengan got a freekick which was hit by Utha Sarumpaet. In the 35th minute, Rusli Raweyai ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Adang Wibisono was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Gambrengan's Jehad Permana proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 40th minute of the match, managed to save Gambrengan from getting a goal against them. After 45 played minutes Gambrengan got a freekick which was hit by Noce Probosutedjo. If Uci Ardiwilaga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Rusli Raweyai to strike the kick off in the second half. Noce Probosutedjo hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. Gideon Djokodamono sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Adang Wibisono showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rusli Raweyai in the 60th minute of the match. Gideon Djokodamono might have been able to make a better finish in the 62nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jehad Permana. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gideon Djokodamono ran back to his position shaking his head. After a defensive mix-up in Gambrengan's zone, Gideon Djokodamono stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jehad Permana came out of the goal and Gideon Djokodamono tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Adang Wibisono made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rusli Raweyai in the 74th minute of play. Tyo Sutarman's late challenge caught a Gambrengan's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tyo Sutarman helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Kumeto getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Tyo Sutarman hit a great ball. Rusli Raweyai struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Adang Wibisono didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gambrengan. After a defensive mix-up in Kumeto's zone, May Baskara stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Adang Wibisono came out of the goal and May Baskara tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. May Baskara's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 97thth minute, Adang Wibisono skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The Kumeto fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Gambrengan were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
