The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Yustedjo Sunyoto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. Sakti Makbul tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eep Wirayudha got in the 18th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Sakti Makbul handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. Baung FC's Sakti Makbul played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yustedjo Sunyoto in the 20th minute of play. Khalis Herlambang received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Ignatius Irama tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ignatius Irama showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Khalis Herlambang, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. If Ikhsan Kartawidjaja had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ignatius Irama showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Khalis Herlambang in the 31st minute of the match. Khalis Herlambang received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Ignatius Irama tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eep Wirayudha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sakti Makbul having to interfere. 46 minutes into the match, Baung FC's goal looked a bit too open when Eep Wirayudha came free, but Sakti Makbul reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ignatius Irama made a fantastic save in the 47th minute, when Ikhsan Kartawidjaja sent off a good shot on target. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Khalis Herlambang was the one to do the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Pucang FC's goal looked a bit too open when Khalis Herlambang came free, but Ignatius Irama reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sakti Makbul didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Yustedjo Sunyoto went, in the 58th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. In the 76th minute Khalis Herlambang shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ignatius Irama saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Pucang FC getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Hanif Mustari hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Ikhsan Kartawidjaja managed to get in a good position for a shot. Baung FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ikhsan Kartawidjaja was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ignatius Irama breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ignatius Irama made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Khalis Herlambang in the 88th minute of play. Eep Wirayudha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sakti Makbul took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eep Wirayudha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 94 played minutes Baung FC got a freekick which was hit by Uus Latuconsina. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Pucang FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
