Toto Pattinasarani came out of the goal and Aldi Bagjanata tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 12 minutes, Rexy Thamrin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. PS Ranga's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rexy Thamrin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rexy Thamrin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Toto Pattinasarani having to interfere. After 17 played minutes PS Ranga got a freekick which was hit by Ucok Trihatmodjo. If Alan Mulyana had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aldi Bagjanata might have been able to make a better finish in the 27th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Toto Pattinasarani. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Aldi Bagjanata ran back to his position shaking his head. Firman Wirahadikusumah kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. 29 minutes into the match, Rexy Thamrin dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Toto Pattinasarani, 1-0. Firman Wirahadikusumah charged in rather forcefully in the 35th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Firman Wirahadikusumah the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Katibua's Firman Wirahadikusumah got a free kick in the 35th minute. Aldi Bagjanata hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. Alan Mulyana sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Rexy Thamrin to strike the kick off in the second half. Iie Karnawan who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 52ndth minute tested the skills of Lelo Purbaya when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 53rd match minute, PS Ranga was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ucok Trihatmodjo to maneuver through the defense. Aldi Bagjanata sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alan Mulyana blasted a shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Lelo Purbaya having to make a save. During the 65th minute of the match Ucok Trihatmodjo completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Ucok Trihatmodjo a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Ucok Trihatmodjo hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. Iie Karnawan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Toto Pattinasarani showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aldi Bagjanata in the 80th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Iie Karnawan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Katibua's supporters rose to their feet, but Iie Karnawan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lelo Purbaya breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. PS Ranga's Aldi Bagjanata got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. PS Ranga's Lelo Purbaya played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alan Mulyana in the 94th minute of play. After 96 minutes, Jahfal Rantung mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the PS Ranga and the Katibua players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Katibua booed when PS Ranga was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jahfal Rantung didn't get a good kick on the ball.
