The Putra Sibangun fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bertha Waluyo should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ridho Jamaluddin in the 19th minute of play forced Putra Sibangun's goalkeeper Bertha Waluyo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Putra Sibangun booed when PS Kawah was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Engkos Zulfan didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 26 played minutes, Putra Sibangun's Kiki Saepuloh shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ramlan Bastari came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Putra Sibangun reached it. Darman Ohorella took the ball and in the 29 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bertha Waluyo. Bertha Waluyo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. After a rather tough play, Putra Sibangun's Anton Khaidir got a free kick in the 39th minute. If Darman Ohorella had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ridho Jamaluddin was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 48th minute. PS Kawah's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ridho Jamaluddin stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. PS Kawah's Ramlan Bastari proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 52nd minute of the match, managed to save PS Kawah from getting a goal against them. When Ridho Jamaluddin came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the PS Kawah fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ridho Jamaluddin couldn't finish the play. Ridho Jamaluddin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dian Ristiwan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ramlan Bastari read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 62nd minute of play. Ridho Jamaluddin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Bertha Waluyo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of PS Kawah booed when Putra Sibangun was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Novri Hatala didn't get a good kick on the ball. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. After 90 played minutes Putra Sibangun got a freekick which was hit by Anton Khaidir. If Dian Ristiwan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 97th minute, Darman Ohorella got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ridho Jamaluddin succeeded in the game's 98th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 3-2. Putra Sibangun's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
