The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 19th minute of the game. One of Cotjapit FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of PSM Goang:s goal. Kelik Sutanto kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. PSM Goang's Alwi Silaban couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 27th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Cotjapit FC. If Akri Handoyo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Akri Handoyo took the ball and in the 34 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Itok Kartiwa. Itok Kartiwa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. In the 40th minute, Kelik Sutanto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 42 played minutes Cotjapit FC got a freekick which was hit by Nurdin Matulessy. Novri Sagala sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Novri Sagala to strike the kick off in the second half. If Yoyo Sastranegara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 56 played minutes PSM Goang got a freekick which was hit by Dharma Kamajaya. The audience was convinced that Novri Sagala's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Itok Kartiwa was relentless in the 61st minute of the game. Novri Sagala fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Itok Kartiwa having to interfere. 3-1 became the score in the 68th minute when Akri Handoyo elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. 72 minutes into the match, PSM Goang's goal looked a bit too open when Yoyo Sastranegara came free, but Ponaryo Suhastra reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 83 minutes into the game, PSM Goang's Akri Handoyo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Itok Kartiwa made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-1. Itok Kartiwa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Novri Sagala, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute.
