Sandi Damara was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Sandi Damara showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eep Handoyo, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lucky Betay in the 20th minute of play forced Kaburuan FC's goalkeeper Sandi Damara to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Telukmuda FC's Lucky Betay got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Kaburuan FC getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Evan Kaunang hit a great ball. After having played for 23 minutes, Lucky Betay managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Telukmuda FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lucky Betay was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Telukmuda FC's Lucky Betay got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 31st minute of the game, Erik Sundoro landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. When Gustaf Sastrowardoyo fell near the penalty area in the 31st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Kaburuan FC's protests and gave Gustaf Sastrowardoyo a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Telukmuda FC booed when Kaburuan FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gustaf Sastrowardoyo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Robyg Radjasa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rozy Mahendra having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Telukmuda FC's zone, Robyg Radjasa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rozy Mahendra came out of the goal and Robyg Radjasa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Telukmuda FC getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Arjuna Pinontoan hit a great ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Syamsul Chandrawinata to make the kick off. Lucky Betay received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Sandi Damara tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kaburuan FC's Syamsul Chandrawinata got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Syamsul Chandrawinata received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Rozy Mahendra tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 63rd minute Syamsul Chandrawinata shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rozy Mahendra saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Syamsul Chandrawinata had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Syamsul Chandrawinata managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kaburuan FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Syamsul Chandrawinata was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rozy Mahendra breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
