The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 7 minutes into the game, Duta Wenas cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Septian Tampubolon was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 10 minutes into the match, Chris Sephtianda notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Giriwoyo FC's Ateng Sonneville. Ateng Sonneville was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yura Cahyadi in the 13th minute of play forced Babangkir's goalkeeper Septian Tampubolon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Yudho Kamajaya fell near the penalty area in the 19th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Giriwoyo FC's protests and gave Yudho Kamajaya a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Babangkir booed when Giriwoyo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Yudho Kamajaya didn't get a good kick on the ball. Chris Sephtiandas short, quick shot in the 22ndth minute got Ateng Sonneville to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. With a little luck, Giriwoyo FC's Ateng Sonneville got control of the ball when Chris Sephtianda tried to sneak it across the goal line. Duta Wenas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Septian Tampubolon having to make a save. A collision led to Giriwoyo FC getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Iswadi Ie hit a great ball. The Babangkir players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Giriwoyo FC were winning 1-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Duta Wenas made a kick off. Yura Cahyadi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Septian Tampubolon having to interfere. If Duta Wenas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Zulkarnaen Rombot had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zulkarnaen Rombot in the 76th minute of play forced Giriwoyo FC's goalkeeper Ateng Sonneville to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Giriwoyo FC getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Iswadi Ie hit a great ball. Eko Pardede was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 79th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. After having played for 79 minutes, Zulkarnaen Rombot managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Babangkir's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zulkarnaen Rombot was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Giriwoyo FC's Ateng Sonneville played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Chris Sephtianda in the 81st minute of play. When the match had gone on for 84 minutes, Duta Wenas took a quick shot and it went in 1-3 without a chance for Septian Tampubolon to make any attempt to save it. After 89 played minutes Babangkir got a freekick which was hit by Genta Syarifudin. Chris Sephtianda took the ball and in the 94 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ateng Sonneville. Ateng Sonneville dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-3. After a defensive mix-up in Giriwoyo FC's zone, Zulkarnaen Rombot stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ateng Sonneville came out of the goal and Zulkarnaen Rombot tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Giriwoyo FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
