Primus Sujarwadi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Atep Aritonang in the 3rd minute of the match. Atep Aritonang received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Primus Sujarwadi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Atep Aritonang fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Primus Sujarwadi having to interfere. Sobur Rumbewas was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Sobur Rumbewas stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ikhsan Laturua's shot from short distance in the 26th minute. After 28 played minutes PS Poemoloeloe got a freekick which was hit by Rudi Suryata. Krisna Kartolo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Sobur Rumbewas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of PS Poemoloeloe booed when Horlae was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. M. Ramdhan Sophian didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Ruben Nataprawira fell near the penalty area in the 37th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Horlae's protests and gave Ruben Nataprawira a yellow card for diving instead.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Krisna Kartolo made a kick off. When Imam Tendean came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Horlae fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Imam Tendean couldn't finish the play. Sobur Rumbewas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Micky Muzakki, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. If Ikhsan Laturua had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the PS Poemoloeloe defense, Imam Tendean kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Primus Sujarwadi. The PS Poemoloeloe fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Primus Sujarwadi should have stopped the shot. In the 80th minute, Ikhsan Laturua ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sobur Rumbewas was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. In the 83rd minute, Boyke Pusaka hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Atep Aritonang had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ikhsan Laturua got free with Sobur Rumbewas in the 91st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched PS Poemoloeloe eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
