Yura Jeliteng charged in rather forcefully in the 8th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Yura Jeliteng the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Desta Sumpena received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Jajang Katehokang came out and tried to block the shot, but Desta Sumpena slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 13th minute. Vicky Tanzil sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ayi Prayoga hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Sumalantaan FC's Bulek Haridinata got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vicky Tanzil in the 28th minute of play forced PSM Ciatui's goalkeeper Zaini Sialagan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Desta Sumpena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sumalantaan FC's Jajang Katehokang proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 35th minute of the match, managed to save Sumalantaan FC from getting a goal against them. Fedro Arbi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jajang Katehokang having to interfere. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when PSM Ciatui's Desta Sumpena in the 43rd minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Jajang Katehokang was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Sumalantaan FC through an amazing save. Jajang Katehokang stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Desta Sumpena's shot from short distance in the 47th minute. After the first half Sumalantaan FC were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Vicky Tanzil made a kick off. Zaini Sialagan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vicky Tanzil, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Zaini Sialagan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vicky Tanzil in the 57th minute of the match. In the 60th minute, Fedro Arbi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Desta Sumpena received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Jajang Katehokang tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Sumalantaan FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
