The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of PS Tebingsuloh booed when Eteppe FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ijong Djunjunan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Martin Maruanaya showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from M. Ichwan Arwana, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. Syamsul Sastrowardoyo in the 11thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. PS Tebingsuloh's Syamsul Sastrowardoyo got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the match clock showed 26 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Iram Mulyadi sped through PS Tebingsuloh's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Febri Soebandono. Febri Soebandono showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Iram Mulyadi in the 30th minute of the match. Nurcholish Santoso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Febri Soebandono tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 32nd minute, Wahidin Garnita hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dedy Subarkah fell near the penalty area in the 52nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored PS Tebingsuloh's protests and gave M. Dedy Subarkah a yellow card for diving instead. After 57 minutes of play PS Tebingsuloh's M. Dedy Subarkah was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After 57 played minutes PS Tebingsuloh got a freekick which was hit by M. Dedy Subarkah. Febri Soebandono made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iram Mulyadi in the 59th minute of play.
