The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Adang Sutarsa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. In the 13th minute the ball was on its way in behind Tjibarani's goalkeeper Hardimen Hutagaol, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 15 minutes into the match, Tjibarani's goal looked a bit too open when Jendry Kussoy came free, but Hardimen Hutagaol reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 19 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Batukaru's Mahadi Mustari fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. Hardimen Hutagaol showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jendry Kussoy, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Jendry Kussoy's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hardimen Hutagaol read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 31st minute of play. After having played for 33 minutes, Sadewa Sulaiman managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tjibarani's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sadewa Sulaiman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sadewa Sulaiman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ariel Sanusi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adang Sutarsa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Adang Sutarsa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 44 minutes into the match, Batukaru's goal looked a bit too open when Sadewa Sulaiman came free, but Ariel Sanusi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jendry Kussoy in the 47th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hardimen Hutagaol prevented the ball from getting in the gole.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Sadewa Sulaiman to strike the kick off in the second half. Sadewa Sulaiman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Ariel Sanusi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 54 played minutes Batukaru got a freekick which was hit by Ucok Duaramuri. Ramli Subagio, 55 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. With a little luck, Batukaru's Ariel Sanusi got control of the ball when Adang Sutarsa tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ricardo Tampubolon's late challenge caught a Tjibarani's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ricardo Tampubolon helped the player get up and apologised. After 63 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Batukaru! Ariel Sanusi had in the 65thth minute some difficulties stopping Ramli Subagio's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his right side, but he still managed to hold the ball If Adang Sutarsa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. An unexpected shot in the 80th minute by Adang Sutarsa got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Tjibarani's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
