After a rather tough play, Tjibarani's Barnabas Assegaf got a free kick in the 16th minute. A hard shot by Arya Irianto from long distance, 18 minutes into the match, got Hardimen Hutagaol's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adang Sutarsa in the 21st minute of play forced Tantalujuk's goalkeeper Sirod Ariwibowo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hardimen Hutagaol made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Akri Prabowo in the 22nd minute of play. Bintang Zamzam struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Hardimen Hutagaol didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tantalujuk. In the 25th minute, Tantalujuk's Akri Prabowo ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Hardimen Hutagaol. Hardimen Hutagaol yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. In the 28th minute, Sadewa Sulaiman got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 29th match minute, Tantalujuk was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fauzan Latuihamalo to maneuver through the defense. Adang Sutarsa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sirod Ariwibowo having to interfere. Sirod Ariwibowo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sadewa Sulaiman in the 36th minute of the match. Sulis Darussalam's late challenge caught a Tjibarani's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sulis Darussalam helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Tjibarani booed when Tantalujuk was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sulis Darussalam didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Adang Sutarsa came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Tjibarani fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Adang Sutarsa couldn't finish the play. Sadewa Sulaiman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Sirod Ariwibowo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sadewa Sulaiman scored 1-1 in the 43rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sirod Ariwibowo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After having played for 48 minutes, Akri Prabowo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tantalujuk's supporters crossed their fingers, but Akri Prabowo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Akri Prabowo was the one to do the kick off. Sadewa Sulaiman recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Agam Bahalwan might have been able to make a better finish in the 58th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hardimen Hutagaol. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Agam Bahalwan ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 59th match minute, Tjibarani was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Barnabas Assegaf to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bintang Zamzam in the 60th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hardimen Hutagaol prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 65thth minute of the game Ortizan Sumirat who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Tantalujuk's Sirod Ariwibowo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Nyangnyang Syafruddin kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. Tantalujuk's Bintang Zamzam got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
