The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 3 minutes, Eeng Gantina mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Njorongdung FC and the Putra Tjibereng players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Njorongdung FC getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Eeng Gantina hit a great ball. If Jaka Tohir had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Setyo Sutikno during the 5th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 5 played minutes Njorongdung FC got a freekick which was hit by Setyo Sutikno. Asep Rachmana charged in rather forcefully in the 7th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Asep Rachmana the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 7th match minute, Njorongdung FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Asep Rachmana to maneuver through the defense. Imam Purwanto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ariel Syamsuddn, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. In the 27th minute, Leysus Pardede got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Eros Bawono made an important save on a dangerous shot by Leysus Pardede in the 29th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Achmad Tanzier during the 32nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Putra Tjibereng booed when Njorongdung FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Achmad Tanzier didn't get a good kick on the ball. Henry Simatupang didn't quite understand what happened when in the 34 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. Yura Tualasamony received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Imam Purwanto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Putra Tjibereng's Imam Purwanto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ariel Syamsuddn in the 42nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yura Tualasamony in the 43rd minute of play forced Putra Tjibereng's goalkeeper Imam Purwanto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Leysus Pardede could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 45th minute of the match, but Eros Bawono made a huge save. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jaka Tohir to make the kick off. Ariel Syamsuddn who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 51stth minute tested the skills of Imam Purwanto when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Eeng Gantina got his second yellow card in the match during the 53rd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Eeng Gantina kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. Ramang Pamungkas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Imam Purwanto having to interfere. If Ariel Syamsuddn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Asep Rachmana sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. A collision led to Putra Tjibereng getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Berti Raweyai hit a great ball. With a little luck, Putra Tjibereng's Imam Purwanto got control of the ball when Asep Rachmana tried to sneak it across the goal line. Putra Tjibereng's Imam Purwanto proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 71st minute of the match, managed to save Putra Tjibereng from getting a goal against them. Setyo Sutikno sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Asep Rachmana took the ball and in the 89 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Imam Purwanto. Imam Purwanto dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Njorongdung FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
