When Nadjib Rosada fell near the penalty area in the 4th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored PSS Luwari's protests and gave Nadjib Rosada a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to PSS Luwari getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Nadjib Rosada hit a great ball. Yasraf Siahaan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 7th minute, PSS Luwari's Dede Avianto seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Dede Avianto the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of PSS Luwari protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Dede Avianto had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 6th minute of the game. One of PSS Luwari:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Liverpudlian F.C:s goal. PSS Luwari's Dudung Hudaya got a good chance for a goal in the 10th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 12th minute, Ivan Danuarta left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The PSS Luwari fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Yaris Saepuloh made a fantastic save in the 17th minute, when Dudung Hudaya sent off a good shot on target. PSS Luwari's Farhan Fatary played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Indra Wibowo in the 19th minute of play. The supporters of Liverpudlian F.C booed when PSS Luwari was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ireng Dandy didn't get a good kick on the ball. Liverpudlian F.C's Yasraf Siahaan couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 24th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for PSS Luwari. Yaris Saepuloh took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ivan Danuarta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Dudung Hudaya came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the PSS Luwari fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dudung Hudaya couldn't finish the play. Dudung Hudaya might have been able to make a better finish in the 34th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Yaris Saepuloh. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dudung Hudaya ran back to his position shaking his head. Adrian Karepouan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Farhan Fatary having to interfere. Farhan Fatary took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adrian Karepouan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dudung Hudaya to make the kick off. Adrian Karepouan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Farhan Fatary tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 62nd minute Indra Wibowo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Farhan Fatary saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hendi Anggakusuma's late challenge caught a Liverpudlian F.C's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Adrian Karepouan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 75th minute of the match, but Farhan Fatary made a huge save. A wasted opportunity for Liverpudlian F.C. In the 97thth minute of the game Dudung Hudaya who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Liverpudlian F.C's Yaris Saepuloh was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Liverpudlian F.C had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
