The supporters of Fajaul booed when Pijoan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ortizan Sianturi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Amran Mangkunagara fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Imral Hutagaol having to interfere. In the 13th match minute, Pijoan was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nana Priatna to maneuver through the defense. 16 minutes into the match, Tono Gunawan notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Pijoan's Imral Hutagaol. Imral Hutagaol was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Herry Hutasoit struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Imral Hutagaol didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fajaul. After 23 played minutes Fajaul got a freekick which was hit by Amran Mangkunagara. When Fajaul's Amran Mangkunagara in the 25th minute got a chance for a shot 25th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Pijoan's goalie prevented a goal. Pijoan's Imral Hutagaol played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tono Gunawan in the 29th minute of play. Imral Hutagaol showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amran Mangkunagara in the 31st minute of the match. Tono Gunawan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Surya Handoyo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Fajaul's Amran Mangkunagara in the 41st minute got a chance for a shot 41st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Pijoan's goalie prevented a goal. Dudan Wiryodiprojo made a fantastic save in the 43rd minute, when Aban Duaramuri sent off a good shot on target. In the 45th minute Tono Gunawan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Imral Hutagaol saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 46th minute, Dimas Pritama hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Pijoan players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Fajaul were winning 0-1.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Surya Handoyo to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute Pijoan were awarded a corner. Ortizan Sianturi went to the cornerflag to take it. Pijoan's defense didn't have a chance, in the 57th minute, when Tono Gunawan scored to the left of an out of position Imral Hutagaol, making the score, 0-2. Imral Hutagaol had great luck who in the 60thth minute grab hold of the ball when Amran Mangkunagara from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. Fajaul's Tono Gunawan got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 65th minute, Pijoan's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Tono Gunawan fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Surya Handoyo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dudan Wiryodiprojo having to make a save. 71 minutes into the match, Fajaul's goal looked a bit too open when Aban Duaramuri came free, but Dudan Wiryodiprojo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Imral Hutagaol made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tono Gunawan in the 73rd minute. Imral Hutagaol stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Amran Mangkunagara's shot from short distance in the 76th minute. If Tono Gunawan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Imral Hutagaol took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Amran Mangkunagara, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Fajaul getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Herry Hutasoit hit a great ball. Imral Hutagaol made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amran Mangkunagara in the 90th minute of play. When the match was over Fajaul could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Pijoan throughout the match.
