Kuanaek's Fauzan Hasanuddin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jayeng Ardiansyah in the 6th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dharma Zumardi in the 7th minute of play forced Kuanaek's goalkeeper Fauzan Hasanuddin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, AREMA FC's Lamhot Suwondo got control of the ball when Wahab Baskara tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 46th match minute, AREMA FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hisar Maranatha to maneuver through the defense. Kuanaek were awarded a corner in the 49th minute after AREMA FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Alwi Sahuleka took the corner. Alwi Sahuleka made a great header on Kuanaek's corner, it was just that AREMA FC's Lamhot Suwondo managed to reach the ball for a save. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing AREMA FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
