Marzuki Adrianto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Hanung Zulhaji tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 7 minutes, Eka Suhastra managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Batoetabal's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eka Suhastra was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Eka Suhastra might have been able to make a better finish in the 10th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ceppy Rumba. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Eka Suhastra ran back to his position shaking his head. After a defensive mix-up in Batoetabal's zone, Marzuki Adrianto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hanung Zulhaji came out of the goal and Marzuki Adrianto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Kamal Laturua hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Brama Likumahua received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Hanung Zulhaji tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 35 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Batoetabal! Kamal Laturua could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 40th minute of the match, but Ceppy Rumba made a huge save. Batoetabal's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Djonggowa the free kick. After 43 played minutes Batoetabal got a freekick which was hit by Bima Yudhoyono. Hanung Zulhaji made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Brama Likumahua in the 47th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Brama Likumahua to strike the kick off in the second half. If Kamal Laturua had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Brama Likumahua kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. In the 62nd minute, Marzuki Adrianto ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Hanung Zulhaji was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. A collision led to Djonggowa getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Vicky Cahyana hit a great ball. In the 71stth minute of the game Kamal Laturua who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Djonggowa's Ceppy Rumba was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Hanung Zulhaji was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. 85 minutes into the match, Djonggowa's Marzuki Adrianto sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hanung Zulhaji narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 89th minute Kamal Laturua shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ceppy Rumba saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Djonggowa had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
