The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Maruli Kaisiepo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ikhsan Marianto, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 4th minute, Bambang Pelani managed to get in a good position for a shot. LA Batoetoelis's supporters rose to their feet, but Bambang Pelani was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Maruli Kaisiepo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Teddy Sinurat sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Teddy Sinurat hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. In the 18th match minute, LA Batoetoelis was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Teddy Sinurat to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ikhsan Marianto in the 22nd minute of play forced Peningki FC's goalkeeper Maruli Kaisiepo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Teddy Sinurat hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Maruli Kaisiepo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ikhsan Marianto in the 26th minute of the match. After having played for 29 minutes, Joko Pattimura managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Peningki FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joko Pattimura was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ikhsan Marianto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Maruli Kaisiepo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 34 minutes, Cornelius Asmara mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Peningki FC and the LA Batoetoelis players grew even worse after the yellow card. Cornelius Asmara hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. The supporters of Peningki FC booed when LA Batoetoelis was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ismed Zudika didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 39th minute, Joko Pattimura ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Utha Leonard was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Maruli Kaisiepo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ikhsan Marianto in the 47th minute of the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

53 minutes into the match, LA Batoetoelis's goal looked a bit too open when Theo Tutupoli came free, but Utha Leonard reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Peningki FC's Joko Pattimura in the 55th minute got a chance for a shot 55th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye LA Batoetoelis's goalie prevented a goal. If Ikhsan Marianto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. If Bambang Pelani had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ikhsan Marianto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Maruli Kaisiepo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Theo Tutupoli hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. The supporters of LA Batoetoelis booed when Peningki FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Theo Tutupoli didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ikhsan Marianto blasted a shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Maruli Kaisiepo having to make a save. If Bambang Pelani had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 91 played minutes Peningki FC got a freekick which was hit by Ida Bagus Levandy. In the 94th minute, LA Batoetoelis's Ikhsan Marianto ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Maruli Kaisiepo. Maruli Kaisiepo yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. LA Batoetoelis were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
