Tehoru FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave PS Batoepasang the free kick. A collision led to Tehoru FC getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Nurcholish Puang hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hendri Pakpahan in the 8th minute of play forced PS Batoepasang's goalkeeper Barnabas Darmuis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Tehoru FC's zone, Jayeng Wanggai stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sapardi Risnandar came out of the goal and Jayeng Wanggai tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Winarto Himawan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. PS Batoepasang's Hanafi Kurnia shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 15th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Sapardi Risnandar but with some difficulty. Winarto Himawan kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. The supporters of Tehoru FC booed when PS Batoepasang was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jayeng Wanggai didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kasino Giroth charged in rather forcefully in the 21st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Kasino Giroth the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. When Jayeng Wanggai came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the PS Batoepasang fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jayeng Wanggai couldn't finish the play. 29 minutes into the match, Tehoru FC's goalkeeper Sapardi Risnandar had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jayeng Wanggai. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Rendy Wahyudi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tehoru FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Rendy Wahyudi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Barnabas Darmuis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Rendy Wahyudi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. In the 43rd minute, Jayeng Wanggai ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sapardi Risnandar was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The wind increased when Winarto Himawan made the kick off in the second half. Winarto Himawan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sapardi Risnandar having to interfere. Sapardi Risnandar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Winarto Himawan, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. In the 56th minute, PS Batoepasang's Rozy Maramis seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Rozy Maramis the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of PS Batoepasang protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Rozy Maramis had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 55th minute of the game. One of PS Batoepasang:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Tehoru FC:s goal. Barnabas Darmuis went to the wrong direction when Tata Napitupulu was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Sapardi Risnandar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jayeng Wanggai, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 98 minutes, Jayeng Wanggai managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. PS Batoepasang's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jayeng Wanggai was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the referee ended the match the PS Batoepasang players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
