The supporters of J-Freaks booed when PSM Datoeme was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abu Karundeng didn't get a good kick on the ball. Anto Purwanto could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Husni Mainaky made a huge save. 21 minutes into the match, J-Freaks's John Cundaya sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Yusron Suryolaksono narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After some careless play in the PSM Datoeme defense, John Cundaya kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Yusron Suryolaksono. The PSM Datoeme fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Yusron Suryolaksono should have stopped the shot. John Cundaya struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Yusron Suryolaksono didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for J-Freaks. After a defensive mix-up in PSM Datoeme's zone, Fandi Permana stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Yusron Suryolaksono came out of the goal and Fandi Permana tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Yusron Suryolaksono showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from John Cundaya in the 39th minute of the match. Yusron Suryolaksono took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from John Cundaya, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Danu Sunardi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Abu Karundeng to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute of the match Munawir Sukmara shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Husni Mainaky showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. J-Freaks's attentive Fandi Permana managed to snatch the ball when Munawir Sukmara made a throw-in in the 56th minute of the game. If John Cundaya had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Abu Karundeng's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Husni Mainaky was relentless in the 69th minute of the game. Agil Sutarman hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. If Fandi Permana had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, John Cundaya managed to get in a good position for a shot. J-Freaks's supporters rose to their feet, but John Cundaya was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Yusron Suryolaksono breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in PSM Datoeme's zone, Danu Sunardi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Yusron Suryolaksono came out of the goal and Danu Sunardi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If John Cundaya had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Danu Sunardi came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the J-Freaks fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Danu Sunardi couldn't finish the play. PSM Datoeme succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though J-Freaks had controlled the match.
