The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Utoh Sonjaya had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. Ketapang FC's players were relieved. After 7 minutes of play, Balas's Engkus Fatahillah made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gatot Sugiarto was left in no man's land by his defense there! Gatot Sugiarto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Makfi Novianto in the 16th minute of the match. The supporters of Balas booed when Ketapang FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Utoh Sonjaya didn't get a good kick on the ball. Makfi Novianto struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Gatot Sugiarto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Balas. The referee showed Cokro Silitonga the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Utoh Sonjaya to strike the kick off in the second half. Gatot Sugiarto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Engkus Fatahillah in the 55th minute of play. If Engkus Fatahillah had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Makfi Novianto struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Gatot Sugiarto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Balas. In the 63rd minute Engkus Fatahillah shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gatot Sugiarto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Makfi Novianto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Gatot Sugiarto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ketapang FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Balas the free kick. After 82 played minutes Ketapang FC got a freekick which was hit by Utoh Sonjaya. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jamal Supit during the 85th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Balas booed when Ketapang FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jamal Supit didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Ketapang FC's Utoh Sonjaya got a free kick in the 95th minute. Balas were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Ketapang FC for a fine match.
