The audience was convinced that Ucup Gustav's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mandra Pulalo was relentless in the 11th minute of the game. Sugih Somantri fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raden Nugraha having to interfere. Raden Nugraha made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. After having played for 46 minutes, Ucup Gustav managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. PSP Rancalowa's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ucup Gustav was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ali Surianto kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Akri Hasyim to make the kick off. Raden Nugraha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sugih Somantri, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Adrianus Risandi's late challenge caught a Mighty Duck FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. One of PSP Rancalowa:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Mighty Duck FC:s goal. In the 60th minute there was a penalty for Mighty Duck FC. Sam Tanonaka stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Raden Nugraha. 2-0. If Uut Manoppo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. Mighty Duck FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave PSP Rancalowa the free kick. Memed Koswara kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match.
