Senorong's Boni Saptaji played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ivan Rupawan in the 76th minute of play. In the 80th minute the ball was on its way in behind PSI Poendoe's goalkeeper Dudin Widura, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When the match clock showed 86 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Ivan Rupawan sped through Senorong's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Boni Saptaji. After a rather tough play, PSI Poendoe's Rebiyana Pattimura got a free kick in the 89th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Ivan Rupawan managed to get in a good position for a shot. PSI Poendoe's supporters rose to their feet, but Ivan Rupawan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Boni Saptaji breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. PSI Poendoe's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
