After having played for 7 minutes, Gendo Sumadipraja managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. School Children's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gendo Sumadipraja was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Awa Saragih in the 9th minute of play forced Sungaisegga FC's goalkeeper Zahran Darmawan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Omo Maulana kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. In the 12th minute Awa Saragih shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zahran Darmawan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. School Children's Awa Saragih got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 22nd minute, Awa Saragih ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Zahran Darmawan was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. School Children's Tantan Syam played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Akbar Mahmudi in the 25th minute of play. In the 26th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sungaisegga FC's goalkeeper Zahran Darmawan, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Zahran Darmawan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Awa Saragih's shot from short distance in the 28th minute. Heri Supriono struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Zahran Darmawan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for School Children. If Ronny Mahmudi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Akbar Mahmudi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tantan Syam was relentless in the 34th minute of the game. After 37 minutes, Gendo Sumadipraja mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the School Children and the Sungaisegga FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to School Children getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Gendo Sumadipraja hit a great ball. Akbar Mahmudi had several of the School Children's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 38 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-1 score and a disappointed Tantan Syam as he didn't even see the shot coming. The goalkeeper, Tantan Syam, was totally fooled by Sungaisegga FC's Fedro Subiyakto, who 45 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Akbar Mahmudi stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After having played for 55 minutes, Ronny Mahmudi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sungaisegga FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ronny Mahmudi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ronny Mahmudi in the 57th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tantan Syam saved School Children from getting behind. With a little luck, Sungaisegga FC's Zahran Darmawan got control of the ball when Usep Jeliteng tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Akbar Mahmudi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Akbar Mahmudi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Akbar Mahmudi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 88 minutes into the match, Sungaisegga FC's goal looked a bit too open when Usep Jeliteng came free, but Zahran Darmawan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 92 minutes into the match, School Children's goal looked a bit too open when Akbar Mahmudi came free, but Tantan Syam reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 94th match minute, School Children was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Heri Supriono to maneuver through the defense. School Children's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
