Sopian Sutimbul recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Lamhot Patha was a little too slow when Guntur Kasela got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 47th minute. The score was now 2-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Pinilih Marantika was the one to do the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Samoeja's zone, Guntur Kasela stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lamhot Patha came out of the goal and Guntur Kasela tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 55th match minute, Samoeja was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rama Kartasasmita to maneuver through the defense. In the 58th minute, Guntur Kasela got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
