The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Imran Suhaya was the one to do the kick off. Imran Suhaya's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bintang Wijoyo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 88th minute of play. PSS Baito's Bintang Wijoyo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julianda Bastari in the 95th minute of play. In the 96th minute, Awa Jayakesuma hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After taking down the ball on Putra Uteran's corner Rizal Manusama fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Bintang Wijoyo quite easily take care of the ball. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
