The referee ignored Watikiende FC's protests and gave Komang Kussoy a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Putra Uteran booed when Watikiende FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Komang Kussoy didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gofar Suhastra made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Imran Suhaya in the 16th minute of play. Gofar Suhastra made an important save on a dangerous shot by Herry Wijaya in the 17th minute. Rebiyana Kurnaedi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wawa Sungkar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rebiyana Kurnaedi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ramang Pangalila in the 22nd minute of the match. Rizal Manusama dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
In the 57th match minute, Watikiende FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cepot Harmoko to maneuver through the defense. After 58 played minutes, Putra Uteran's Rizal Manusama shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Gofar Suhastra came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. There was no doubt that Putra Uteran were the better team. Putra Uteran's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
