The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Sutan Muntu might have been able to make a better finish in the 5th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Burhan Hasibuan. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sutan Muntu ran back to his position shaking his head. Sadam Assegaf fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yosef Pangalila having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Derry Subagdja in the 18th minute of play forced Wakadea FC's goalkeeper Yosef Pangalila to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Trisno Sonjaya hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Yosef Pangalila showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sadam Assegaf in the 20th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Wakadea FC's Sutan Muntu slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Burhan Hasibuan. That made the score 1-0 after 27 minutes of play. After having played for 31 minutes, Edwin Sukardi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Wakadea FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edwin Sukardi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Sutan Muntu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 35th minute Sutan Muntu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Burhan Hasibuan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Burhan Hasibuan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Weldy Purwanto in the 37th minute of play. With his leg Burhan Hasibuan managed to avoid a goal in the 38thth minute, when Wakadea FC's Edwin Sukardi fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. If Sutan Muntu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Edwin Sukardi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Burhan Hasibuan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edwin Sukardi in the 53rd minute of the match. 54 minutes into the game, Wakadea FC's Sutan Muntu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Burhan Hasibuan made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. In the 59th minute, Weldy Purwanto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 61 minutes into the game, one of Kuwukan FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 64th minute there was a penalty for Wakadea FC. Komar Sofyan stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Burhan Hasibuan. 3-0. In the 70th minute, Komar Sofyan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Husni Pakunagara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 74th minute, Kuwukan FC's Sadam Assegaf ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Yosef Pangalila. Yosef Pangalila yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sutan Muntu in the 78th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Burhan Hasibuan saved Kuwukan FC from getting behind. Edwin Sukardi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The supporters of Wakadea FC booed when Kuwukan FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Demas Pramana didn't get a good kick on the ball. There was no doubt that Wakadea FC were the better team. Wakadea FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
