The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ijul Sangaji in the 9th minute of play forced Gunungkatun FC's goalkeeper Fedro Tendean to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. PSS Tahulandang's Ijul Sangaji got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ijul Sangaji struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Fedro Tendean didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for PSS Tahulandang. Raihan Asmadirja's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 25thth minute, Nakula Idris skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After a defensive mix-up in PSS Tahulandang's zone, Raihan Asmadirja stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nakula Idris came out of the goal and Raihan Asmadirja tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 28th minute, Fahmi Irianto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Krisna Lelono blasted a shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nakula Idris having to make a save. Raihan Asmadirja could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 37th minute of the match, but Nakula Idris made a huge save. Raihan Asmadirja fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nakula Idris having to interfere. Raka Afiffudin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nakula Idris having to interfere. In the 43rd minute, Dedi Djarot hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 45th minute Krisna Lelono shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nakula Idris saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in PSS Tahulandang's zone, Krisna Lelono stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nakula Idris came out of the goal and Krisna Lelono tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Krisna Lelono stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Vicky Tedjamukti received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Fedro Tendean tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 52 minutes into the match, Ijul Sangaji had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fedro Tendean. Gunungkatun FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ijul Sangaji was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. After a defensive mix-up in PSS Tahulandang's zone, Raihan Asmadirja stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nakula Idris came out of the goal and Raihan Asmadirja tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to PSS Tahulandang getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Fitrah Mangkulangit hit a great ball. Krisna Lelono recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Raka Afiffudin fell near the penalty area in the 62nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gunungkatun FC's protests and gave Raka Afiffudin a yellow card for diving instead. After 62 played minutes Gunungkatun FC got a freekick which was hit by Raka Afiffudin. If Vicky Tedjamukti had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 68th minute, PSS Tahulandang's Vicky Tedjamukti ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Fedro Tendean. Fedro Tendean yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-2. Jakob Jayadiningrat recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Krisna Lelono in the 78th minute of play forced PSS Tahulandang's goalkeeper Nakula Idris to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gunungkatun FC's Fedro Tendean proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 80th minute of the match, managed to save Gunungkatun FC from getting a goal against them. Hans Darussalam fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fedro Tendean having to interfere. Fedro Tendean made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vicky Tedjamukti in the 86th minute of play.
